These fluffernutter blondies are just like your favorite childhood sandwich but in dessert form. Peanut butter base with a peanut butter-fluff swirl and white chocolate chips.

I didn’t want to bake this. I wanted to eat it raw.
The batter sat there in the bowl, begging me to eat it all up like soup with a giant spoon, and I almost gave in. But instead I poured it into the pan, leaving a spoonful behind for a compromise. Why does the raw batter always taste just a little bit better than when baked? Cookie dough, cake batter, brownie/blondie batter, pancake ba– no not pancake batter but the rest, most definitely.
I never had a fluffernutter in the original sandwich form while growing up. (Maybe I should work on that with the remaining marshmallow creme after making this recipe.) But whenever I see another food blogger post about this peanut butter and marshmallow combination I can’t help the cravings. How can I crave something I’ve never experienced? Because it is peanut butter, and for that reason alone is HAS to be good. And of course that also means that these blondies were just as good as they sound.

My family and enjoyed the blondies this week. OMG! So delicious and decadent.
Glad I bid and won.
I am looking forward to making myself.
WHY HAVE YOU NEVER HAD A FLUFFERNUTTER SANDWICH? That is so wrong. SO very very wrong. I demand you remedy this at once! Seriously, I’m stomping my feet, doodling lines in sand and wont be back until I see that you’ve enjoyed the amazingness that is the perfection of marshmallow fluff and peanut butter smashed between two slices of cheap white bread (that is the magic key right there)
Oh I did it… and it was dreamy! I can’t believe I’ve missed out on that for my entire life! And don’t worry I totally made it on white non-whole-wheat bread. I might have to post it just because it was such a revelation to me. But I didn’t take a picture, darn have to make another one O:-)!
I love fluffer-nutter sandwiches! Especially with bananas. I actually made a fluffer-nutter ice cream the other day, check it out here http://www.obviouslycheddar.com/2011/09/banana-fluffer-nutter-ice-cream.html. The wife said it taste like the sandwich haha.
I loved fluffernutter sandwiches when I was little, they were extremely sticky :) These bars sound so good, I might have had an issue with eating all of the batter too!
Oh yum! I will be dreaming of these tonight!
You’ve never eaten a fluffernutter sandwich?! What are you waiting for!! Soft white bread recommended.
I know apparently I have been deprived. But all I have right now is nutty whole wheat bread.
Get in my belly! Seriously, anything with peanut butter is good enough for me!! :)
Love batter! These look so good! I wish I had all of the stuff in my house right now!
Am I weird for having all of that in my cupboard before I knew I was going to make it? Hello over-stocked pantry.
I’ve been looking for a good use for my leftover marshmallow fluff- looks like I found one!
Thanks!
-Miriam
I have to figure out what to do with the leftover fluff I have from this recipe!
Fluffernutters are a staple here at our house as I make one for my son’s school lunch each day. He’s addicted and I buy the Fluff online because we can’t buy the same kind out here in AZ as we could when we were living in RI. I have 10 tubs of it sitting in my closet – Fluff overload.
Maybe he could just eat these for lunch! ;-)
You would be the best mom in the world if you let him eat these instead! What kind of fluff to you get?
It’s… (getting up to look in the pantry – Geez, not only have I been buying this stuff for years, but I’ve been eating it too since I was a kid and I can’t remember the name of it! Haha I’d know it by sight though in a minute, those blue and white jars or plastic tubs with the red lids!!)
DUH!! Marshmallow Fluff, of course! (Feeling REALLY stupid right now) LOL!
I buy it online from the company located in Lynn, MA. The other stuff they sell in stores just DOESN’T taste the same!

You may have seen it, growing up in NY.
Glad I found your blog, Erin! I’ll be checking in regularly!
Oh yea I totally know that stuff. Hooray upstate NY :-). I think I have seen it here in Memphis though. But maybe I am imagining things. Glad you found me, I am surely going to check your blog now!
I could really go for lie…an ENTIRE tray of these. Right now.
You are in luck, because you can whip these up pretty quick!
mmm i love blondies with marshmallow! great recipe! just found your blog, can’t wait to browse around :)
I always wonder why I never have the amount of cookies that a recipe says it will make, then I realize its because I nibble on the batter while I scoop the cookies onto the pan…
“oh-yea…I ate half of it…duh!”
I think I’ve articulated my feelings on anything involving peanut butter…especially in dessert form! These are a thing of beauty. :) Can’t wait to try them!
I don’t think I ever grow tired of hearing about others’ or pronouncing my love of peanut butter.
You know, if you and I cooked together we’d just eat all the dough (as I eat about half on average too) and not actually get anything in the oven. These blondies look AWESOME!! Cooked or uncooked ;)
In that case, if we cooked together, it would be a magical experience.
