Leave it to Halloween to make you think something with “blood” in the title looks delicious. I promise this cake won’t turn you into a vampire but it’s fun to pretend for a day. Bloody poke cake is essentially strawberry jello cake dressed up for Halloween.
This cake is easily made with a box of your favorite whiten cake mix, the ingredients indicated on the box, red gelatin of your preferred flavor, frozen whipped topping, red decorating gel, and some candy severed fingers and syringes to finish it off.
Of course, there are several other ways you could decorate this: Embrace the vampires and add vampire bite punctures with the gel and add candy vampire teeth, or use candy knives instead of syringes, or just smother it with red frosting instead of whipped topping.
I love cakes like this because there’s really no wrong way to decorate it as long as you’re having a good time. After all, that’s kind of the point!
