I don’t have time to shop so I let the stylists at Stitch Fix do the work for me.
Time for your bi-monthly installment of headless photos of me. June’s Stitch Fix was the first time I kept all 5 items and I had high expectations for this month’s, especially since I had Christine again who is the same as June, hooray!
It seems to not be in my destiny to own white skinny jeans (or the B&W floral ones I’ve been pining over). I even tried buying white skinny jeans from 2 different websites recently only for the orders to be cancelled cause they were out of stock. I just cannot win! Other than the skinny jeans, I have been looking for some strappy tanks and dresses. Let’s take a look.
P.S. Almost all of the jewelry I am wearing is from my other favorite subscription, Rocksbox. If you wanna try it out, use my code ERINBFF367 for a free month.
1. Papermoon Lombard Zip Back Halter Blouse / XS / $44: I was excited to try on this top when I first pulled it out. The bright colors and the zipper in the back, = <3! It looks great from the front and the back, but it seems strange from the side. I felt like there needed to be a triangle of fabric under the armpit because there was a risk of side-boob action. Since I wasn’t secure in wearing this – RETURN.
2. Papermoon Wayland Racerback Top / XS / $44: I liked the colors of this tank as well and that it is solid in the back, but I wish it was just a little bit less flowy. While I’m a fan of shirts with a bit of flow to them, this was bordering sack-ness. It would be an easy alteration to take it in a bit but I’m always so hesitant to buy something knowing I need to alter it unless it’s a crazy good deal. Alterations arn’t free! RETURN.
3. Collective Concepts Katelynn Dress / XS / $78: I wasn’t very excited about the sleeves/neckline as I am in the market for strappy dresses but actually enjoyed this print a lot. It fit well and the material was nice. I would probably add a belt after looking at the photos however as it kind of hides my waistline. Call me crazy but that’s how I always feel about these kind of waistlines. Screw it, it looks cute with a belt and a nice big gunmetal necklace – KEEP.
4. Liverpool Rina Zipper Detail Skirt / 4 / $68: I absolutely appreciate Christine picking up on my affinity to zipper detail, but I admit upon first glance I wan’t sold on this skirt. When I put it on I was actually pleasantly surprised! That was until I turned around and realized the waist was much too big by about 2-3 inches. Either my behind is too big for my waist, or my waist is too small for my butt haha. I could’ve probably done a size 2 because the material is stretchy but unfortunately exchanges for size are not an option. If the price point were lower I’d consider having the waist taken in but at that price I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle. RETURN.
5. MIA Anamarie Crisscross Flats / 7.5 / $54: I don’t want to be rude to anyone who likes this style of flat but I knew these were a return the moment I laid eyes on them and wouldn’t have even tried them on if it weren’t for this post. I am not a fan of the lace up at all. Maybe a little tie around the ankle but that’s it. I was actually surprised to see shoes in my fix at all because I’ve specifically asked to not be sent any unless they happen to have one of the specific pairs that I’ve pinned (which I’ve seen other’s receive in their fixes). RETURN.
I hate to say this after last month being so great but overall, but this fix wasn’t as good as last month. I’m sorry Christine! I know you take the time to cater items to me and I appreciate you efforts. I have learned from my years of Stitch Fix experience that I am a difficult person to style. I don’t have a specific genre that I exclusively fit in to and on top of that I’m kind of picky.
What did you like or dislike? Is there anything you would want for yourself? Make sure to tell your stylist!

Hey! Love the blog! Just an FYI, you can totally do size exchanges (if they have it in stock) by emailing customer service. I do it all the time! :)
Really? I tried that way back when I first started and they couldn’t do it. Or maybe they just didn’t have the size I needed.
myeah not your best Fix-though I do like the dress (I totally can still see your teensy waist!)
Ha thanks, Kayle! It’s just not a shape of dress I normally buy but I do enjoy the print…
Thoughts: I like that first top and from the photos it looks like it would stay put and not have any Janet Jackson moments… You are clearly not comfortable with the second top, so I wouldn’t keep it. The dress is beautiful and looks good on you, with or without a belt (I’ve got one with a similar waistline and would prefer to have a sash belt for it). It’s not worth keeping a skirt that doesn’t fit right – you’re clearly not built like most people these days, who don’t have waistlines. And I can’t fathom wearing those shoes – they look very uncomfortable, worse than having to learn to wear high-top hiking boots. IMHO. :-)
You’re right on point Susan!
