What happens when you combine gin, ginger ale, and candied ginger? Gin3! Ok technically gin and double ginger but that doesn’t sound as fun.
The math nerd in me can’t help but begin this post by pointing out that technically this cocktail is not gin3 but rather triple ginger. Or actually gin and double ginger. However my friends who helped create this cocktail decided the exponential looked cooler. And what is food blogging without looking cool, right?
So you start with gin, add some ginger ale, lime juice, celery bitters, and finish it off with a garnish of lime and candied ginger. See, gin and double ginger! But I digress. No matter what you call it, this cocktail is the perfect way to celebrate World Gin Day! Except I just realized the food holiday calendar I use is wrong and it was the 11th. Maybe the father in your life would enjoy a glass on Sunday for Father’s Day?!

Hahaha yes! I agree the exponent looks waaaay cool! (and I just realized I would have no clue how to type that…) I love ginger ale and lime flavors together so this cocktail sounds awesome! I’ve never heard of celery bitters before. Does it actually taste a little like celery??
This would be fun to have as a large batch cocktail for grill night!!!
