June 2016 Stitch Fix #16

by Erin

Remember when I almost cancelled Stitch Fix? Talk about a 180 as I almost kept all 5 items this time around!

Stitch Fix

After 2 failed attempts in April are you surprised to see another Stitch Fix post? Not gonna lie, I nearly cancelled after all that. Granted, I did have very pleasant interactions with their staff in regards to my displeasure so before cancelling I decided to give them one last chance – fixes #1-13 were just dandy so maybe it was just a fluke. If not then at least I tried.

June 2016 Stitch Fix

For fix #16, Christine actually checked out my blog, recipes in addition to stitch fix reviews, and I think it really helped! And she definitely listened to the feedback I gave in my previous fixes. Spoiler alert: this fix won me back and tempted me to keep it all for the first time ever. Let’s check it out shall we?

June 2016 Stitch Fix - Pixley Dali Open Drape Cardigan

1. Pixley Dali Open Drape Cardigan / XS / $78: I had asked for a lightweight, loose fit, printed cardigan for the summer and while the one Christine sent was more sweater-like for colder months it was exactly my style. Unfortunately, I have a painfully similar cardigan already except mine is black and green plaid (pictured on the right)! If only it were a different color or lightweight, I would’ve been tempted to keep it despite the higher price. Heck I still am.

June 2016 Stitch Fix - Collective Concepts Tergeo Strappy Back Top

2. Collective Concepts Tergeo Strappy Back Top / XS / $54: This top reminds me of the pink one I received last time except this one has a little bit of extra detailing on the front (which I failed to adequately capture) and is blue (obviously)! Since my complaint last time was that I already had a very similar top in pink this was a welcomed surprise as I really do love the back. Probably gonna hold onto this one as I could see myself wearing it a lot and transition it into colder months with a cardigan on top.

June 2016 Stitch Fix - Pixley Eve Floral Skirt

3. Pixley Eve Floral Skirt / S / $64: Once again, Christine’s listening skills are one point. Last fix I loved the skirt I received but was not in love with the price. While unfortunately I think the skirt last time fit better, I kind of enjoy that the print of this resembles fruit (at least in my mind it does and yes I know it’s actually floral). Being $34 less certainly is a bargaining point and it looks cute with that blue top. P.S. Notice the bonus cat photo bomb.

June 2016 Stitch Fix - Daniel Rainn Fernwood Asymmetrical Blouse

4. Daniel Rainn Fernwood Asymmetrical Blouse / XS / $64: Although this top was sent to me because it resembles one I pinned to my style Pinterest board, I was not really digging it as off white and I do not normally get along well due to my pasty skin. I wish it had been the black version I pinned! But I do love some asymmetry (despite the unevenness of such things bothering my boyfriend – a true engineer) and I bet it’d look cute with my black liquid leggings. Bit pricey though for something I’m not crazy in love with.

June 2016 Stitch Fix - Loveappella Zola Asymmetrical Striped Dress

5. Loveappella Zola Asymmetrical Striped Dress / S / $58: So I actually already own a striped B&W dress… but it’s long sleeve so it’s totally not summer apparel, right? I can keep this one cause it’s short sleeved, right? Did I mention I like asymmetrical attire? And it’s really comfortable. It was a tiny bit big around my waist but that just leaves room for food devoured at a cookout. So you’re gonna tell me to keep it, right? Heck it’s the second cheapest thing I received too!

What were your favorites? Is there anything you would want for yourself? Make sure to tell your stylist!

I like the dress, the skirt and the blue top. Dress is the best piece, IMO.

Yesss it’s not just me seeing fruit! Although if I look at the “apple” closely is does look like a flower but I prefer thinking it’s an apple ;-)
