Gardening with #OXOSpringGardening

OXO is always looking out for us with great tools to tackle various tasks, and now you can bring them into your gardening whether it be indoor potted plants or an outdoor garden.

Did you know that OXO has tools beyond the kitchen? I already shared a post highlighting their helpful tools for cleaning up the kitchen after epic cooking sessions but now we are going to go outside and get from fresh air. Yes, OXO now makes tools for gardening and I used them to start some potted herbs and to spruce up the garden outside the front door.

Since we live in a condo community so we don’t have to do too much to the garden outside but we wanted a little bit of color so we used the transplanting trowel to throw in some snap dragons and the cultivator to dig up dirt and weeds and to spread out mulch.

The cultivator performed well under pressure. Unfortunately, despite being made of high-quality stainless steel, the trowel handle snapped off. Granted it was probably being used to dig up a plant a big larger than it’s pay grade but it was still a sad moment. Other than that I enjoyed the non-slip, cushioned handle and measurement markings.

We also trimmed back the bushes that were looking a bit harried with the garden scissors. These worked great on the bushes and will also be useful when trimming back my herbs. Easy to use and cut through branches about the width of my pinky finger easily.

After making a big mess of the mulch, I used the compact dust pan and brush set to sweep up small amounts of it that was lingering on the porch slab. In the future I think I will stick to a larger broom but this little tool will be great in the kitchen to cleaning up small spills on the counter, and I like that the brush stores inside of the dust pan.

Of course after all that hard work the plants needed hydration and that is where the indoor pour and store watering can came to the rescue. I had a larger watering can already but it spewed out water at too high of a force for my herbs, causing soil to fly out. This smaller watering can was perfect and the spout rotates in towards the body for easier storage. Just look at those happy little sprouts!

Disclosure: I was provided with a variety of gardening tools from OXO. I was not compensated for writing this post and the opinions expressed are my own. Thank you, OXO!

I’ve only used OXO’s kitchen tools, so good to know they have a lot of gardening gear also! Have to remember this when it’s my MIL’s birthday since she loves gardening.
