Friendsgiving & CorningWare Giveaway

by Erin

Whether your are hosting Thanksgiving with family or Friendsgiving with friends, you’ll love the colorful array of bakeware from CW by CorningWare.

Friendsgiving 1

On Saturday I got together with some friends and hosted a Friendsgiving meal, which is the same as Thanksgiving but celebrated with friends instead of family. Basically it’s an excuse to another gluttonous meal in the month of November. Or maybe a stretching exercise for your stomach, preparing it for Thanksgiving? Either way it involved a lot of delicious food, wine, and a lengthy-gigglefest game of loaded questions (and random outbursts as I cheered on Ohio State against Michigan State – it’s not Thanksgiving without football).

Friendsgiving 2

For hosting this grand event, I had the help of CorningWare in the form of their new colorful CW bakeware. They added color to the table and the assorted sizes were great for all the different dishes. We had butternut squash casserole, mac and cheese, green beans with bacon and fried shallots, apple and caramelized onion pretzel stuffing, pear-cranberry sauce, and turkey with champagne-thyme gravy.

Friendsgiving 3

Don’t forget the wine.

Friendsgiving 4

The features of the CW line by CorningWare include pieces that nest together for compact storage, vibrant colors, an assortment of sizes and pieces, durable stoneware, and they are oven, microwave & dishwasher Safe. Since I don’t mean to rub it in your face, I’m also giving away one of their 4-piece sets to one lucky reader! Just in time for the holidays. Use the Rafflecopter widget located at the bottom of this post to enter.

Friendsgiving 5

Stay tuned throughout this week as I post the recipes for the food which your eyes feasted upon in this post. We clearly enjoyed it.

We host a Friendsgiving dinner, too! We normally do this the Saturday before actual Thanksgiving. It is probably one of my favorite events all year long–spend it with people you love and enjoy their company and an excuse to cook a lot of food. Ours is a potluck but since we are hosting, we always cook the turkey, but my Chinese hospitality says I need to make a few more side dishes to round out the menu where it needs more options. I usually make the stuffing, corn casserole and sweet potato dish besides the roast turkey and gravy. If there’s something no one else has signed up to bring, I make it, too. Love the colorful dishes, my holiday table would benefit! Growing up, we used the same green floral Corelle dishes! Now I’m grown and have our own set of Corelle dishes but a different print.
