I have returned to you, my faithful readers! Hopefully you didn’t miss me too much due to the stacked deck I had of guest bloggers during my absence. But where was I all this time? First I traveled up to Independence, OH (near Cleveland) for the wedding of two of my very good friends from undergrad – that I hadn’t seen in 5 years! Unfortunately I did not bust out my camera much during that event.
The day after I drove back to Memphis from Ohio, I was whisked off to Europe. My first stop was Prague, Czech Republic! It had been at the top of my “to visit” list along with Greece for years (one day I will get there) and was incredibly stoked to finally have the opportunity to venture over there. I was only able to spend 2.5 days there, but managed to take almost 200 photos in that time. And now I will shower you with a few select photos from this beautiful city in the country where my father’s side of the family descended from.
I love all of the buildings in Prague. So unique from anything I’ve seen elsewhere.
I just couldn’t get enough shots of the St. Vitus cathedral. Every view point was different and beautiful!
Most of the traditional foods there were very heavy (and yummy), but this cream puff-like dessert was a dramatic contrast with it’s delicious fluffiness.
Pictures were not allowed inside the palace without a photography permit – boo.
We conquered the city on foot all day every day for the 2.5 days. Definitely want to go back to Prague one day and explore some of the surrounding areas. I’ve heard about a bone church nearby that I would have loved to see – guess there’s always next time! Have you ever been to Prague?
Tomorrow I will share photos from my time in Berlin, Germany.

Oh my gosh, Prague looks beautiful! I love the photo of the orange roofed buildings – so bright! I know nothing about Prague other than the fact that The Bachelorette is going to be there on this upcoming week’s episode. ;)
PS – The cream puff looks so good.

Oh I loved Prague when I visited back in college. We were there at Easter time and there was so many festivals. Such a good time and everyone was so friendly. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Oh it’s SO gorgeous! Put Memphis to shame when I came back (although admittedly that’s not hard to do).
Your photos are stunning! I was in Prague a few years ago, and I had dreamed about going there for over 20 years. It surpassed all of my expectations! Thanks for sharing some of your memories with us.
What great pictures!! This is on our list of places to visit….someday! What a great trip!
Erin, I love your pictures from Prague! My boyfriend and I were there last March… it was the first and only place in Europe I’ve been. We had terrible weather (35 degrees and rain, the entire time) but it’s such a beautiful city I still had to enjoy the buildings, churches, and the whole ambiance. Glad you liked it!!
I’m sorry to hear you had such bad weather! It rained a little bid while touring around the cathedral and palace but otherwise sunny and warm.
How gorgeous!! I really want to go get over to Europe and do some exploring. I wish flights weren’t so darn expensive…
Wowwwwww oh.my.gosh. I’m green with envy!! These photos are all so gorgeous–now I just want to go to Prague even more! :) Glad you had such a great trip.
What a gorgeous city! My husband had to work in Prague when we were first married, I so wish I could have gone with him!
